My family and I have been coming to our "summer getaway" at Cygnet Lake Camp now for 22 years. It started as a family tradition when I was a young child, and throughout the years many friends, family members and co-workers have come along, and have made it their getaways as well! Having young children of my own now, Cygnet Lake brings exitement to their faces, and is always a part of our summer vacation planning! Either a first time visitor, or a seasoned veteran, the beauty and serenity of the camp always takes your breath away. Each and every visitor are greeted as friends, and not customers. Cygnet Lake is a great place to visit, young or old! See you next year!

I have been going to Cygnet Lake Camp for the past 14 years. My week on Cygnet Lake is the highlight of my year and I can’t tell you how much I look forward to it each and every summer. The peace and tranquility combined with the awesome fishing make for a great time. Dan and Jill the camp directors have bent over backwards on many occasions to make sure our stay was a great time. I have sent many friends to Cygnet Lake Camp over the years and no one has ever been disappointed. I will continue to travel from my home in Las Vegas, Nevada to Cygnet Lake Camp every year as long as Dan Jill are in charge. There is no place in the world I would recommend more than Cygnet Lake Camp.

Dan and Jill run a first rate fishing camp. The fishing is outstanding on Cygnet Lake and Bass Lake in the backcountry is excellent for Small Mouth. These folks make sure you have a good time and catch fish (both Walleye and Pike). Both times my fishing buddy and I came (June and July) we had great success. I would certainly recommend a trip to Cygnet Lake I can hardly wait for my next trip.

We are the Boys from Illinois--Stan,Steve,Bob,Norm have been coming to Cygnet Lake Camp for over 20 years. We come back because it is Gods country to all of us! Great fishing and hunting and some of the best trail riding there is. Dan,Jill, and Peter have done a great job making the camp even more enjoyable. Can not wait to get back next year in 2009-3 weeks in Heaven.

Our family has been blessed with lots of wonderful experiences traveling, but our trip to Cygnet Lake this past August (2008) was definitely a trip of a lifetime for us. My husband and I, our 3 children (ages 11,9 & 8) and our 24 yr old niece enjoyed an incredible week of fishing, blueberry picking, 4 wheeling and hiking. Our cabin was spacious, clean and had beautiful views. The highlight of the trip for all of us was my first bear hunt. Our city slicker niece had so much fun she is considering a bear hunt of her own next year! I would highly recommend a trip to Cygnet Lake for families with children of all ages, it’s definitely a great place for family togetherness.

Here is a few things that make Cygnet Lake Camp special. Over the last 4 years at Cygnet Lake Camp, the cabins have been very clean, the hosts friendly and the scenery beautiful. The best part is the fishing has noticeable improved from year to year.

Last year I had my best Canadian fishing experiance ever. I loved everything about Cygnet Lake from the abundance of quality fish to the scenery to great cabins and super staff. I spent most of a week with family and got to enjoy what a real fishing vacation is all about. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting that fishing trip to remember.

When talking about Cygnet Lake Camp I tell people “it’s the trip of a life time, but you don’t have to do it just once”. I have been there 4 times. I have been to many fishing camps in my life and Cygnet Lake offers the best all around experience I have found. The fishing is exceptional and it gets better each year. Walleyes in the 16 to 18 inch range are super plentiful, and it is not unusual to catch a limit in just one or two hours. By managing the number of larger fish harvested, Dan (one of the owners) has steadily improved the number of hogs caught each year. Over the last 4 years that I have come to Cygnet Lake I have consistently caught walleyes in the 26 to 29 inch range. These are not the skinny long variety; they are as big around as footballs and fight like freight trains. We of course released them to breed and fight again. I have also caught Northern Pike over 40 inches each year as well. If you love Jumbo Yellow Perch like I do, you won’t be disappointed. We consistently catch numerous Perch in the 10 to 14 inch range by accident, while we are jigging for Walleyes. Also, while not known as a Smallmouth lake we have nevertheless caught some in the 3 to 6 pound range, once again while fishing for Walleyes. Over the past 4 years I have brought 5 other people with me and all of them have had a great time. The scenery is fantastic. Being one of only two resorts on the lake you get the idea that this is your own private paradise. The beautiful lake, dense forests, many islands, steep cliffs, and sheltered bays all come together to create a perfect vacation spot for the outdoorsman. You will see eagles, deer, fox, beaver, and an occasional bear. The loons will sing you to sleep and the chick-a- dees will entertain you with their cheerful songs. The accommodations and equipment are first rate. Each year there have been improvements made; new cabins, new boats, new motors, and new docks. The cabin we stayed in is beautiful. It is clean, modern, and roomy. There is a full kitchen, large bathroom and bedrooms, a large porch, and everything you might need to make your stay there a pleasure. It is much nicer than the other resorts I have stayed at. The final thing that makes Cygnet Lake Camp so special is the service. The hosts; Dan, Jill, and Peter are wonderful people. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They do the little things that really make you feel at home. Whether it is sharing that secret fishing spot or coming up with that candy bar to satisfy an after dinner sweet tooth, they always come through. When you arrive, you feel as though you are visiting family, and when you leave you are already planning your next trip. I plan on visiting twice a year for the next few years and bringing a new friend each time. I already have a waiting list of buddies that want to come along and enjoy “their trip of a life time”. Best wishes to all.
